KAMOHELO MISSIONS

The world has changed... dramatically. Even in the short 50 something years since I was born its plain to see we are headed to chaos. With all the terrorist attacks happening in Europe, the conflict with Russia and Syria, and even in our own government; there's a tendency to run and hide from it all. I often wonder what we as christians should be doing to prepare for the worse. Do we sale everything, build a cabin out in the middle of nowhere, and prep ourselves for defense? Do we hide there with our loved ones and wait until the Lord returns to rescue us? As much as that is very appealing to me because I tend to be a homesteader at heart; its not the answer. We are in this fight until the end! We are part of it; don't forget we are on the winning side of things! God wins. The church has to wake up and do the job that Jesus commissioned us to do; reach the lost, spread the Gospel, make disciples. You know, its a fact that only about 10% of Christians are active in serving the Lord in that capacity. If you notice, in your own congregation, there's always those few people who "do everything". What are the other 90% doing? We are too comfortable...in our own little universes; with our own peeps and our own agendas. There are millions of people around us and we don't look at them as the field of souls to be harvested; we look at them as strangers, heathens, different from us, unapproachable... even just another human model like a car... God loves everyone; his will is that all would have eternal life. All those people have souls; souls that are most likely headed to destruction. We are on the good side of this fight. We have the answer to their misery. We can't run out to the cabin in the woods and hide away; hoarding the secret to life... Repentance, Forgiveness and Restoration. Our commander, King Jesus, gave us a mission. Go ye into all the world, making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20 That is our command. That is your command. Each one of us who believe in Jesus as our Lord. We have to get out of the pew, out of the comfort zone of our own congregation and get out into the battlefield. God will equip you, but you have to take that first step of faith. The battle is raging, Satan is in it until the end and he will take as many as he can with him. What are you going to do to rescue the lost?
